The role We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and suitably skilled individual to join the team as a Trading Standards Officer. We are looking to recruit an individual with a flair for finding non-compliance and a determination to resolve issues.  The post holder will undertake work aimed primarily at investigating complaints, conducting requests for advice from local businesses and the inspection of businesses involved in the sale of food. Occasional weights and measures related work may also be required.     The nature of the post will require a flexible approach to work including occasionally working outside what are regarded as normal hours. Other essential qualities will include strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to deal firmly but fairly with people, and the ability to prioritise a demanding workload.
