The Service
Providing strategic procurement for Northumberland County Council and Northumbria Healthcare Foundation Trust; the Shared Procurement Service is a groundbreaking collaboration between local authority and NHS. You will be primarily responsible to assist the sourcing operation for the Council, ensuring that all sourcing activities (processing of Purchase Orders and Requests for Quote) are undertaken in accordance with the Council’s Financial and Statutory Regulations and EU Public Procurement Regulations.

The role
Reporting to the eProcurement & Sourcing Operations Manager, the eProcurement Support Officer will perform duties required of the Sourcing Team with additional support from the eProcurement Lead Officer where required. These duties will include but are not limited to supplier set ups, quotations and raising of purchase orders

Essential requirements:
The successful applicant will demonstrate experience of a buying role within a procurement function with a working Knowledge of ERP systems or equivalent. Experience of public sector procurement would be desirable.
