We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our Fostering Service to help support it’s exciting change initiatives.

To succeed as a Service Improvement Assistant you will need to be highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload and deal with changing priorities and deadlines. You will be confident gathering and analysing information to support decision making and project management. You will have excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Experience of working within a children’s social care environment would be helpful but is not essential. We want a creative and highly skilled individual who wants to be part of a supportive and dynamic service that aims to make a real difference to children and young people in Newcastle.

If you want to find out more about the role you can speak with our Fostering Manager, Deborah Anderson on 0191 2772430.

Apply online at www.northeastjobs.org.uk, select 'Apply Now' and complete our online application form.

We are committed to protecting and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment. This post is working in regulated activity. If you are successful we will undertake additional recruitment checks which will include a check to see if you have had any criminal convictions, a check of police information and we will check the barred list(s). It is a criminal offence for a barred individual to apply for a job in regulated activity.

As this post involves working with children, vulnerable adults or dealing with sensitive information, written references will be taken up and made available to interviewers before the final selection stage; even if you indicate otherwise.
