We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Education Funding Assistant to work in the Financial Services to Schools Team.

You will be responsible for delivering effective, high quality, financial services for the Education & Skills Division including the distribution of grant funding, processing of invoices, raising payment requests, account reconciliations, budget monitoring and forecasting. You will also be expected to support ad-hoc projects relating to the administration of grant funding and service improvement.

The successful candidate will have strong financial and IT skills including experience of updating, collating, analysing and presenting financial information.
Equally important, will be the ability to engage and effectively communicate with colleagues and Schools. This is an important role which will require you to provide information and advice to school leaders, school business managers and Council officers.

As part of the selection process there will an Microsoft Excel based assessment via email prior to interview. The interviews will be held via a Teams meeting.
