We are seeking to recruit outstanding, enthusiastic and creative SEMH ARP teaching assistants with the ability to promote high standards of achievement in our vibrant, popular and successful inner-city primary school, which hosts an additionally resourced provision (ARP) for children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. In return we can offer you the opportunity to teach in a stimulating environment with excellent facilities and a dedicated team of staff. Posts required for September start, earlier start dates may be available.
Post 1: SEMH ARP Teaching Assistant – Full time (37 hours) Fixed term appointment for 1 year until 31st August 2022
Post 2: SEMH ARP Teaching Assistant – Full time (32.5 hours) Fixed term appointment for 1 year until 31st August 2022
Post 3: 1:1 SEMH ARP Teaching Assistant – Full time (27 hours) Fixed term appointment for 1 year until 31st August 2022.
All posts detailed above will be term time only with 5 training days.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of a range of strategies to support children with SEND. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience with SEMH.
It is essential that applicants hold Literacy and Numeracy skills, the equivalent of NVQ Level 3 or have extensive experience of working with children with SEN. Candidates must be confident and be able to support individuals and smaller groups of children on a one to one basis with a variety of needs.
They will be able to work across all Key Stages and be flexible as needs change throughout the year.
