Fixed term until 31 August 2022.

30 hours per week, term time only with 1 training day as directed by the school.

The Governors of Ravenswood Primary School wish to appoint a highly skilled, conscientious and motivated support assistant from September 2021.

The role will be within KS1 or KS2. The role will be class based but will be required to support a specific group of children with complex needs including ASD. Working knowledge of children working within the Autistic Spectrum disorder would be desirable but not essential.

We invite applications from Support Assistants who can demonstrate that they have
•An enthusiastic and positive approach
•Established constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs
•Promoted the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
•Encouraged pupils to interact with others and engage in activities to effectively enhance individual learning
•Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence
•Provided feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under the guidance of the teacher
•Supervised and provided particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
•Is able to form excellent working relationships with pupils, staff and parents
•Enthusiasm to develop outdoor learning
