The Role
The Northumberland Coast AONB Partnership is looking for a full-time Nature Recovery and Farm Advisory Officer to develop and deliver a Nature Recovery Plan for the AONB and to work on the Farming in Protected Landscapes programme. Created by Defra, and managed by AONB and National Park teams, The programme will help farmers, land managers and others to deliver work on the farmed landscape under the themes of climate, nature, people and place. You will provide advice and guidance to applicants/potential applicants and support a panel created to judge applications. Working in partnership with a broad range of individuals and organisations you will develop a nature recovery plan for the AONB and lead on all aspects of the natural environment for the AONB team and partnership. You will need to have a HND or an equivalent qualification together with considerable experience of working with farmers and land managers, a good knowledge of nature conservation/land management and access issues and familiarity with current agri-environment policy.

A starting salary of £28,672 - £32,234 (Band 7)
