An exciting opportunity has arisen within Adult Social Care for a permanent Team Manager to be based in Dene Park House. Initially the post holder will manage Care Manager 1 Teams but will be involved in the development of new teams within the new Care and Support model.

As Team Manager you will have access to excellent and regular formal and informal supervision, annual appraisals, support and guidance to promote your personal and professional development.

Main duties of the role
The successful candidate will have responsibility for the day to day management, quality and performance of the team. The job encompasses managing staff workload and the workflows, supervision and appraisal of team members with significant areas of work including safeguarding adults and supporting with casework. They will also be responsible for managing delegated health and social care budgets and managing a team staff who are working with adult service users with mental health, learning disabilities and physical disability or illness.

Essential Criteria
- Relevant degree or professional qualification
- Significant whole time equivalent post qualifying experience including experience at a senior level
- Documented evidence of continuing professional development
- The successful post holder must be able to role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the Organisation.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
-To work autonomously within the West Locality and with a team who support a specific user group with highly complex needs to provide a social care service which includes undertaking statutory duties, delivering care management, providing or arranging for therapeutic services. To assist in the development of other staff, students and services.

To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the Organisation. This means demonstrating a consistent leadership style which (a) engages, enables and empowers others (b) uses coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement and (c) facilitates team working and collaboration within teams / departments and across organisational boundaries
