An exciting opportunity has arisen within Housing Services for the position as a Safeguarding Coordinator, based within the Strategic Housing Team but supporting all aspects of the Housing Service. The post is a 2-year fixed term contract and is subject to a satisfactory DBS check.

Main duties of the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the service delivery of, and development of, Adult and Children’s safeguarding priorities within Housing Services, comprising Strategic Housing, Housing Operations and Housing Capital Teams. You will be required to lead on the development, implementation and review of safeguarding policies and procedures across Housing Services, to include providing timely updates and reports to the Northumberland Safeguarding Adult’s Board (SAB), the Northumberland Strategic Safeguarding Partnership (NSSP), and the Domestic Abuse Strategic Board. You will be the named lead for Adult and Children’s safeguarding across Housing Services including representing the service at relevant boards and groups and you will provide operational support and professional leadership for all Housing staff carrying out statutory requirements.

- A starting salary of £37,890 with increments applied annually
- 25 days annual leave plus public and bank holidays (rising to 30 after 5 years of service)(pro-rata for part-time employees)
