"We have an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified social worker to join us in delivering high quality community to join our team in Blyth working with adults with physical health disabilities and adults with learning disabilities. This post will include working with service users during periods of transition from Children's Services, through to adulthood. The successful candidate will benefit from a good balance of autonomy and support and will be responsible for the day to day management of caseload with regular supervision. You will need to demonstrate your willingness to undertake and complete Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) programme if you have not already done so. As a social worker you will play a key role in ensuring that social work values, relational, transformational and rights based principles are embedded in practice. You will have knowledge and experience of the legal and statutory responsibilities for social care services including the Care Act 2014. Main duties of the job To provide a person centred social work service in a community setting in order to promote service user recovery and social inclusion To work with service users within their local communities more flexibly to suit their needs/lifestyle, promoting person led and recovery focussed outcomes, to empower service users to shape their own lives and receive support by enabling them to use resources within the community networks.
