We are seeking to appoint a number of enthusiastic, self-motivated Environmental Health Officers with the necessary training and experience to work in our Public Protection & Neighbourhoods Team.

This is an exciting time to join the team as we deliver a new Additional and Selective licensing scheme which commenced in April 2020.

The team deal with a wide range of housing related issues including housing standards, noise and anti-social behaviour, public health nuisances and property licensing.

It is essential to have a good understanding of the regulatory framework, guidance and good practice in relation to the Housing Act and HHSRS assessments.
A Degree or Diploma in Environmental Health with full registration with the CIEH Environmental Health Registration Board is essential, although applications will be considered from applicants registered to undertake CIEH professional interview in October.

You will have a knowledge of current and emerging private sector housing related legislation and the technical aspects of enforcement. Experience and knowledge of HMO and Selective licensing is also essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required with proven ability to deliver services.
