Bedeburn is a short break service providing short breaks for up to 6 children and young people, aged 6-18 years.

You will be required to work directly with children and their families, their relatives and other professionals to achieve the maximum quality of life for the individual.

You will be required to work with children and young people with emotional, behavioural and learning difficulties and disabilities in which personal care will be required. You will monitor children and attend to their needs in line with their individual care plans as well as recording changes and writing summary reports on Care First or other IT systems of each individual child’s stay.

You will be required to administer medications and undertake competency based assessment training for this and peg feeding.

You will also be required to cover work as an when required, which may include weekend working.

As this post involves working with children, vulnerable adults or dealing with sensitive information, written references will be taken up and made available to interviewers before the final selection stage; even if you indicate otherwise.
