Senior Business Support Officer supporting Licensing
Business Support provide an enabling service to all areas of Newcastle City Council. The Business Support teams are flexible and responsive and there will be opportunities to move between teams to gain experience of the services across the council.

We currently have a Senior Business Support Officer within our team who provide support to the Licensing section of Public Safety and Regulatory Services.
Working in the reactive, fast-paced environment of the Licensing office at Wincomblee, Walker the role involves working between a busy front line reception and back office environment processing licensing applications and related tasks accurately to tight deadlines using a number of in-house and external systems/methods.
The successful candidate needs to have excellent organisation and communications skills with the ability to multi-task during busy periods as well as pass information and liaise effectively with Licensing Officers.
Excellent customer service skills are also essential with the ability to deal with, at times, difficult and challenging customers both face to face and on the telephone. Previous knowledge would be advantageous but full training will be given.
You will need to be familiar with Microsoft Office and possess excellent organisational and communication skills. We are looking for flexible team players who want to join us in developing excellent service provision.
