We are looking for an excellent Nursery Officer to work on a flexible, variable hours contract (initially 30 hours per week) with our 2, 3 and 4 year olds. The position will encompass all aspects of working within our nursery/childcare setting on weekdays during school term time. Overtime working during school holidays may also be necessary depending on business needs. The ideal candidate will be someone who has experience of working in a nursery setting in a similar role, enjoys working as part of a team, is able to work effectively with groups of children and has the flexibility to support learning for all children. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right person to develop their skills and to support the further development of our setting.
The successful candidate will be a dedicated, caring and enthusiastic individual who has a real passion for learning in the Early years. GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above, child care qualifications and experience supporting children's learning are essential. You will enjoy challenges, be self- motivated, demonstrate initiative when interacting with children and adults and be passionate about child development.
Hours and Pay Scale – 30 hours per week (flexible variable hours) term time only, plus 5 school training days. Overtime may be required during school holidays.
Local government service pay scale – Band 3 SCP 5 to 6 - £19,312 to £19,698 (pro rata = £13,451.03 to £13,719.88). Starting position on SCP5.
