Newcastle City Council is seeking to appoint a Home Improvement Officer within the Housing Capital Programme Team.

The Council is committed to promoting independence and enabling people to live in their own home through our Care and Repair Newcastle service. You will play a pivotal role in how we deliver services to customers through the delivery of adaptations, processing Disabled Facilities Grants, respond to complaints; and giving advice to homeowners on housing options and property improvement.

Applications are sought from individuals with a expertise in delivering adaptations or similar works to properties; with experience of working in partnership with a range of partners to deliver positive outcomes for clients; preferably with experience of building surveying or similar area of expertise.

The role is challenging and varied and the post holder will need to be flexible and able to prioritise a workload with conflicting deadlines.
