We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and highly motivated person to join our residential team. This post is integral to our children’s homes which provide high quality care and support to young people with complex needs
To succeed as the Manager / Officer in Charge you must have an excellent understanding of the needs of children, young people and families and be committed to making a lasting difference to their lives.
You will be a confident and creative person whose mentoring and leadership skills will enable the young people you are caring for to have positive experiences, grow, develop and thrive. You will understand the impact that trauma can have on young people and be able to lead and support your staff team to work positively and effectively using a trauma informed approach. You will be experienced at building a resilient and successful staff team through reflective supervision and skilful leadership. This is a busy role so outstanding organisational skills, an eye for high quality case recording and the ability to work collaboratively with other parts of our service are all essential.
The post requires experience of working in residential care and a recognised social work qualification or a qualification equivalent to the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare. As Manager/Officer in Charge you will be required to register with Ofsted as the Registered Manager of the home and will be responsible for ensuring that the home is ready for inspection at all times. You may also be required to cover shifts including occasional sleep ins.
