We have a vacancy in the Children and Family Social Work Team for an experienced Social Worker (completed their ASYE) covering the beautiful and rural North of Northumberland based in Berwick Upon Tweed town centre.

The team completes children and family assessments and supports children and families on Child in Need and Child Protection plans, children who are looked after and those in pre or actual care proceedings and within private law. The team consists of Social Work Support Assistants, Social Workers, Social Work Advanced Practitioners and two Team Managers. The team are very supportive and there is a strong emphasis on staff support, informal and formal supervisions, appraisals, professional and personal development, training, excellent team support and relationships with multi agency partners.
Northumberland have adopted the Signs of Safety practice model and there are opportunities for training and support around Signs of Safety.
