Newcastle City Council is seeking to appoint a Technician within the Care and Repair Newcastle team to undertake technical support duties relating to the delivery of services.

The Council is committed to promoting independence and enabling people to live in their own home through our Care and Repair Newcastle service. The post holders will play a pivotal role in how we deliver services to customers by supporting the Home Improvement Officers to delivery of adaptations, process Disabled Facilities Grants and support the Minor Adaptations and Repairs Service Co-ordinator to deliver minor adaptations.

Applications are sought from individuals with experience of working in partnership with a range of partners to deliver positive outcomes for customers. Experience of working in health, care or care assessment environments would be an advantage in this role but is not essential.

These role is varied and the post holder will need to be flexible and be able to priorities a workload with conflicting deadlines.
