Further Information
We need enthusiastic and reliable people to join us as Housing Support Assistants to cover day and night shifts. The posts would cover for sickness or other absence and the number of working hours available cannot be guaranteed.

You will be part of a team providing safe, clean and supportive temporary accommodation to homeless families and individuals. You will be the first point of contact for residents and your duties will include: providing and recording information, liaising with colleagues and other services, monitoring the CCTV system, reception, cleaning, minor repairs and handling small amounts of money.

You should have a strong commitment to high standards of customer service and care. You need to be calm, confident, respectful of others and able to work sensitively with people in crisis. It is essential that you are capable of moving and handling of materials and furniture and able to undertake cleaning duties. You will need to be able to use IT systems such as Microsoft Teams and email.

The post involves working a shift pattern as the premises need to be staffed 24 hours a day. Shifts are either 8.00am to 4.00pm, 1.00pm to 9.00pm or 9.00pm to 8.00am.
