The Governors of Lemington Riverside Primary School wish to appoint two Teaching Assistants (Level 2, N3), from 4th January 2022. This is due to the retirement of one of our Early Years teaching assistants and a high level of additional needs within the EYFS department.

We are a welcoming, small primary school with happy, motivated children and a dynamic, passionate and hardworking staff team. We have high expectations of ourselves and our children. Parents and the wider community are highly supportive of our school.

This post is suitable for an experienced teaching assistant with extensive early years experience and an appropriate level of qualification. We are looking for two ambitious and meticulous team members who will go the extra mile for the benefit of the school community. The successful candidates will be based in our Early Years department, working with children in Nursery and Reception. They will also be required to work in other primary-aged classes as and when required.

The successfully appointed teaching assistants will benefit from the support of a strong leadership team, an experienced governing body and a supportive community.

The successful candidates will lead by example, setting high standards for themselves, the school and others. S/he will be experienced at supporting and managing pupils, often with complex needs and a variety of abilities. They must be able to think creatively and problem solve. They will have a positive outlook and will be excited at the prospect of part of a rapidly changing school.

The successful candidates will:
?work successfully in the Early Years department and, when required, across the primary age range supporting a wide variety of pupils
?be motivated, committed and proactive in the face of challenge
?be organised, highly efficient and prioritise workload to meet deadlines
?have successful experience of working with pupils with a wide range of additional needs
?be able to adapt practices and procedures in order to ensure best outcomes for pupils
?support the vision and ethos of the school

We are aiming to appoint the right candidates to start in post on Tuesday 4th January 2022.

The role is 30 hours a week. This will be roughly working the hours of 8:30am – 3:00pm over five days, although the exact working hours will be agreed with the successful candidates.
