The Service?
The Community and Environmental Health Team (CEHT)?is part of?the Council’s Housing and Public Protection Service which is responsible for a wide range of regulatory functions including Environmental Health, Trading Standards, Building Control and Environmental Enforcement as well as the management of the Council’s housing stock.?
?
With 18 staff the CEHT areas of responsibilities include,?noise control and other?nuisance investigation, housing standards, public health and both operational?and strategic community safety.? Reporting to the?Strategic Community Safety Officer the successful applicant will?provide support to both the strategic and operation community safety teams.

This is fast paced environment with a focus on outcomes for residents with a highly varied workload reflecting the mixed urban and rural character of the County.???

The role?
The post holder?will?provide administrative and initial technical support to two busy community safety teams. Central to the role will be the co-ordination, organisation and support to a number of multi-agency partnerships, including preparing agendas, circulation of papers, minute taking and updating action plans. Other duties will include liaison with service users and assisting with investigations and case management. ??

Candidates should?have?significant administrative experience including good IT skills. Experience of community safety, multi-agency or partnership working is desirable. ?

A strong commitment to?self-development?is essential as is the ability to work to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and undertake project work.?

Essential requirements:?
Applicants?must;
- Have an administrative qualification for example, NVQ level 3
- Have significant experience in providing administrative support.?

Derisible requirements;
- Knowledge or experience of community safety. ?
- Knowledge or experience of partnership or multi-agency working in particular, Community Safety Partnerships.??
- Case management and investigative skills.
