This is an exciting opportunity to join the recently established Operational Estate Management Team as a Technical and Surveying Specialist, who will be responsible for providing electrical expertise primarily to the parking team; whilst assisting in the provision of maintenance services or supporting new electrical installation projects, as well as having wider contract management responsibilities for both the car parking portfolio and other Public Buildings as required.

The role will provide an opportunity to enhance the electrical maintenance provision within our Public Building estate. You will be required to respond to electrical issues as they occur; good diagnostic skills are essential as well as the ability to design solutions for any remedial works on electrical systems across a range of buildings. This role will oversee an electrical testing regime including fire and intruder alarms, CCTV and other electronic systems. You will also assist the service to work with contractors, both internally and externally to enable projects to be seen through to completion.

The successful candidate must be qualified to City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Services or equivalent and have a working knowledge of procuring contracts and services within the NCC procurement framework, as well as demonstrable experience of estimating, designing, installing, commissioning, and testing electrical schemes.

The successful candidate will also be able to produce health and safety plans and collate tender documentation to support the delivery of electrical projects as well as having a good knowledge of mechanical, electrical and construction requirements within Car Parks and Public Buildings.

A driving licence is essential along with the ability to work alone and maintain tools and equipment.
