We are looking for a permanent, time served, HGV Workshop Technician to join our team at Cowley Road Depot, Blyth

You will work to achieve the efficient and effective maintenance of the Council's vehicles and plant by preparing all vehicles to M.O.T and LGV testing station standards, must be fully conversant with the maintenance / diagnostics and repair of LGV "O" LICENCE vehicles (7.5t upto 44t). You are to diagnose faults by road testing vehicles, visual inspections, by use of computerised diagnostic software and any other method agreed by industrial standards. 

You must hold a NVQ level 3 or equivalent in subjects relevant to vehicle and plant maintenance and have an understanding of VOSA standards and maintenance requirements with respect to operator licensing. 

We are offering: 
-A salary range of £25,419 - £28,226 (pay award pending)
-Market Forces Allowance £2,500 per annum payable in addition to the basic salary

-25 days annual leave plus public and bank holidays (rising to 30 after 5 years of service)(pro-rata for part-time employees)
