Grade N7 (£29,577 - £32,910 depending on experience) per annum, plus other attractive benefits associated with working for local government.

37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Additionally, voluntary overtime work and standby arrangements exist.

We have several opportunities for qualified Electricians to join us within our busy Construction Services Electrical team.

Primarily working within a Construction environment, our Electrical Construction works consists mainly of commercial and domestic works. These can range from new build properties, renovations, upgrade, and maintenance works across Newcastle City Council and Your Homes Newcastle properties. Where required, you may be asked to take ownership of an NCC vehicle for work duties.

Reporting to a Repairs & Construction Manager, you will be expected to work on a variety of properties and schemes ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with relevant regulations, practices, and standards.

Typically, you will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of Electrical tasks including all aspects of installation works, (containment, wiring, terminating, inspection, and testing) Maintenance, Servicing and Fault finding works. All works must be carried out in accordance with the latest edition of the IEE wiring regulations BS7671.
