We provide an enabling service to all vital services of Newcastle City Council. The Business Support teams are flexible and responsive and there will be opportunities to move between teams to gain experience of the services across the council.

You will be working in a reactive team supporting one of the many services within the Council. You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to deal with challenging situations and work to statutory or regulatory deadlines. You should have the ability to multitask and deal with changing priorities. It would be an advantage if you have previous experience of working with a case management system. You should be fully familiar with data protection and the use of MS Office / Office 365.
In response to the Coronavirus pandemic you may be expected to work in a flexible way between an office base and remotely from your home depending on which area of the business you will be supporting. To enable you to do that you would need access to the internet via wi-fi in your home. You would be provided with the IT equipment to enable you to work from home.
