The role
You will play a key role within payroll as a member of the processing team providing payroll services for Northumberland County Council and external agencies.
Your responsibilities will include processing payrolls, administering the council’s employee benefits schemes, and providing support to colleagues using the expenses system.
This is an opportunity to work with a close-knit team providing an essential service to the council and its employees. You will learn a wide variety of skills and develop in depth payroll experience.
We are looking for a dedicated team player who can demonstrate the ability to organise workloads and work under pressure of deadlines. You must have a good general level of education. You should be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of I.T. systems. Experience of working in a payroll setting would be preferred but full training will be provided

• A starting salary of £20,444 - £22,129 (Band 4)
