If you are enthusiastic, creative and committed, don’t miss this exciting opportunity to join the award winning Great North Museum: Hancock in a key role. You will develop, co-ordinate and deliver a programme of engaging exhibitions over the next year, helping our visitors to connect with our collections in new and accessible ways.

You will bring strong project management experience to oversee the practical process of exhibition creation and delivery. You will have experience of working in museums and/or galleries, of devising and delivering major temporary exhibitions, and of the security, conservation and installation requirements of collections of national and international importance.

A confident and experienced communicator, you will be working with the wider museum team to realise the exhibition programme, bringing your own original ideas but also the creative confidence to seek out and nurture relationships with other content producers. You will collaborate closely with colleagues working on research engagement and public events to ensure a cohesive and coherent offer that excites and challenges our audiences.

We believe that inspiring and engaging access to science and culture can improve the life chances of children and young people. If you do too, then we’d love to meet you. So if you share our ethos of putting the audience first, are a creative self-starter who believes culture can do good things for society, happy to work under your own initiative with confident interpersonal skills, and experience of driving innovation by giving visitors the very best experience they deserve, we are waiting to hear from you!
