Communication has never been more important and plays a crucial role in providing our staff and our communities across Northumberland with the latest information and advice.

Working within the Communications Team you will have a wide range of duties associated with supporting the provision of corporate communications. This may also involve assisting with media management; direct communications, marketing or social marketing campaigns; development of the Council’s website and intranet and managing the corporate brand and effective internal communications.

You must have NVQ Level 3 or equivalent with knowledge of internal communications, media relations, social marketing, design and print. Practical experience in PR, journalism or marketing would be desirable, as well as an understanding of developing and delivering social marketing campaigns.
