Newcastle City Council’s Transport team are offering the opportunity to join our Civil Engineering Apprentice/Trainee Programme to candidates who want to make a successful career in this discipline.

Excellent on the job training will be given in disciplines such as highway design, bridge maintenance and design, traffic management and road safety and flood risk management as well as formal education in the form of day release to college or university.

You will be paid in accordance with our Apprentice and Trainee Pay Agreement working towards our entry level Grade 1 Engineer Job Description (included in the supporting documents)
