The Service
The Corporate Health and Safety Team comprises of ten professional advisers who are committed to provide an excellent safety advisory service to all functions of Northumberland County Council and associated partner organisations.

The role
We are looking for an Assistant Health and Safety Advisor to cover maternity leave for at least a six month period. Ideally, candidates will have experience in the education sector or a keen interest in adventurous activities. The role includes providing general health and safety advice to schools as well as assissting in the monitoring and approval of school visits.

We are offering:
- A starting salary of £29,174 - £32,798 (Band 7)
- 25 days annual leave plus public and bank holidays (rising to 30 after 5 years of service)(pro-rata for part-time employees)
