The successful candidates will be responsible for the delivery of specific work and allocated projects across the range of public health priorities. Officers will be based within a portfolio team and will contribute to the overall aims of the department service plan and local authority priorities.

This role offers excellent development opportunities and will include a focus on ensuring that local expertise and user/carer experiences contribute to planning and delivery. The role will involve supporting the development and delivery of key projects and tasks, including training, and providing and collating key public health information with a range of professionals, VCS, settings, and communities across the city.

We are looking for candidates who are dynamic and focussed and want to make a difference to the health and wellbeing of Newcastle residents. Officers will be expected to have an understanding, knowledge, and skills on the social determinants of health and be passionate about addressing health inequalities.
