Dinnington First School is situated in picturesque village close to Gosforth and Newcastle City Centre. It is a thriving and successful school that caters for pupils between the ages of 3 and 9 and is part of the Gosforth Schools Trust.

Since being rebuilt in 2018 the school has rapidly expanded and so we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking learning support assistant to join our friendly and hardworking team.

The school is part of the Gosforth Schools’ Trust and three tier Gosforth Pyramid of schools.
Standards and achievement at the school are high. The number of children achieving the required standard in the Year 1 Phonic Screen is above local and national averages and the children achieve well at the end of Key stage 1. On transfer to middle school most children achieve the expected attainment for their age. Expectations of pupils, both in terms of academic achievement and behaviour are demanding and the positive attitude to learning and school life that pupils display is a reflection of the commitment and hard work of all staff.
