Current Legislation and good practice uphold the right of children to promote and maintain family time with their parents, the service will ensure that court ordered family time takes place. Promoting the best interests of the child at all times.
You will be involved in the initial and ongoing development of the contact service and be responsible for the supervision and recording of sessions between children and their families.
It is essential that you have relevant experience of working with children and families and experience of multi agency working. You must also have good communication, record and report writing skills. Experience of facilitating family time and knowledge of child protection and the framework for assessment of need is essential. You must also hold a full current driving licence with access to transport or a means of mobility support.
You will be required to work some unsocial hours in order to offer the level of service outlined above, weekend working is also part of the role.
