Newcastle are delighted to have received NIHR funding to establish a Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC), a significant ambition of which is to bring the world of the council and the world of the university closer together around the wider determinants of health.
This portfolio involves a key role for a senior public health professional to work within the HDRC to lead on our partnerships, public and staff engagement, and promotion of the developing research culture throughout Newcastle City Council and the city as a whole.
We are looking for a dynamic candidate who is seeking a challenge and focussed on using their public health expertise and experience.
Senior Practitioners will be expected to have significant experience of working at a strategic level with a broad range of partners across the domains of public health and be passionate about addressing health inequalities.
