St Thomas More Catholic High School is an 11 to 18 mixed, converter academy serving the Catholic community of Tynemouth Priory Partnership (Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle). We have an excellent reputation locally and nationally for the quality of our ethos, teaching and learning, high achievement and sustained improvement. Governors seek to appoint a well-qualified, committed and enthusiastic teacher to join our excellent RE department of eleven specialists. The department is highly achieving and very popular in the Sixth Form. The department is very well led and provides an excellent environment for teaching and learning. The department was graded outstanding in all areas in our most recent Diocesan Inspection (November 2014). This post is suitable both for newly/recently qualified teachers and those with some experience.
