The successful applicant will be required to direct the work of a small team of catering assistants, apprentices and learners to provide a supportive teaching and learning environment operating the daily café service and providing hospitality in our meeting rooms.

Duties include food preparation and cooking, serving customers, managing service areas, use of a traditional barista style coffee machine, ordering and stock taking, cleaning duties as required, assisting with the planning and maintenance of the menu, labelling system and supporting our learners and apprentices. The post holder will be required to reconcile tills as requested and carry out banking.

The Learning Café Supervisor will assist with team appraisals and managing sickness. A working knowledge of a catering environment, including HACCP, food safety and health and safety principles is essential.

Our positions offer an opportunity for you to further develop your skills by following our Catering and Events training pathway.
