The post is for an Occupational Therapist in the Adult Social Care Occupational Therapy service working in the North team across North Northumberland. The North Occupational Therapy team has a mix of Occupational Therapy Assistants, Technical Instructors, and qualified Occupational Therapists based in either the Alnwick or Berwick offices.

The Adult Social Care Occupational Therapy service works with adult residents of Northumberland who are experiencing functional problems relating to physical disability, mental health or learning disability.

The work is varied with involvement in everything from assessing for and providing equipment and minor adaptations through to major adaptations and manual handling assessments and recommendations. The performance of the Occupational Therapy Service is consistently high achieving, demonstrating the dedication to providing a responsive quality service to residents.

We are looking for a highly motivated person who is interested in working in adult social care to support residents of Northumberland to remain living in the community in the safest most independent way. Someone who likes variety in their working day and strives to do their best for the people they are working with.

This post is a full time (37 hours), permanent at band 8 (Starting salary £35,411)
