Of the role, one of our Service Improvement Assistants said:

“This role has given me a valuable insight into how different areas of the Council work and offered an opportunity to support integrated working across divisions. With this, my contribution to improving services has been really varied and interesting. For example, as part of various website development projects, I have developed my skills in producing digital content for different audiences. Most importantly, my contributions through this role have been part of the broader purpose of improving services for children, young people, and families.”

In return, Newcastle City Council offers:

• Access to Local Government Pension Scheme
• Generous annual leave in addition to Bank Holidays, with the ability to buy additional leave annually
