The Service
The post is located within the Economy and Regeneration Service, whose core purpose is to deliver the Council’s priority of Economic Growth. This includes the influencing of national and regional policy and co-ordinating and driving forward of the delivery and management of regeneration and economic growth projects including those funded with European Structural Investment Funds.
You will work as part of a team of 9 staff responsible for the financial management, monitoring and reporting of externally funded projects being delivered both within Northumberland and the wider North East area.
The Role
We are looking for a Project Claims and Finance Officer to manage and organise the administration of applicant grant claims and to provide financial support to externally funded programmes within a team of support and ancillary staff.

- A starting salary of £24,496 - £26,845 (Band 5).

Essential requirements:
- A good general education demonstrating numeracy and literacy.
- NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in a business-related discipline.
- You will have well developed interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to quickly build good working relationships both within the Team and with external organisations.
- The ability to converse at ease with Partners and provide advice in accurate spoken and written English is essential for the post.
