We have an exciting opportunity to work for Northumberland County Council in our Home Improvement Service as a Home Adaptation Surveyor.
We have 2 full time, permanent posts available however part time applications will be accepted.
The role is interesting and varied requiring the ability to carry out technical surveys, produce detailed specifications and plans and assess fair cost of works to ensure a wide range of major adaptations, anything from level access showers through extensions to property can be safely undertaken within the homes of Northumberland residents who have disabilities.
The post holders have responsibility for the management of projects to ensure safety of contractors and residents throughout the works, adhering to health and safety legislation and providing professional and technical support on all related issues.
Being a car driver is essential for the role as travel throughout the beautiful county of Northumberland is required.

Essential Criteria
- Qualification - minimum HNC in Building Related Discipline
- Must be able to meet the travel requirements for the post
- Hold a full and valid UK driving licence
