The Service
Northumberland County Council are looking for a skilled individual to assist in the delivery of our IT Support Services, working within the Education Support team.
The role.
This position will be predominantly working within the Education Service, dealing with IT related enquiries, supporting teaching staff and maintaining systems. Applicants should have experience within the IT sector, preferably with some of that time spent in an IT support role. The job involves working with multiple stakeholders across many sites and excellent customer service and communication skills are required. The successful candidate will join an established team within authority and will have access to colleagues who can assist where necessary.

Essential requirements:
-A technical qualification or evidence of competency in IT
-Ability to absorb new technical information and apply it effectively
-Actively undertaking ongoing continuous professional and personal development.
-Competence in using Microsoft Office
-An active desire to provide effective customer centred services.
-Very effective IT skills and ability to understand and develop the use of IT to achieve work objectives.
-Numerate and able to analyse business related statistics.
-Ability to work methodically and systematically.
-Demonstrates a collaborative approach to work.
-Can absorbs technical information, when it is presented systematically and apply it effectively
-Works under routine supervision. Uses minor discretion in resolving problems or enquiries.
-Works without frequent reference to others.
-Has sufficient communication skills for effective dialogue with colleagues, works in a team.
-Can plan, schedule and monitor work
