We are currently recruiting to appoint an Adults Social Worker to work within the Wansbeck Adult Mental Health Social Work Team.

This position is full time and is for a 6-month fixed term contract.

The team work closely with colleagues from Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne, and Wear (CNTW) NHS Foundation Trust to provide a multi-disciplinary approach to adults and their families experiencing severe and enduring mental health issues. The team also work alongside the Northumberland Recovery Partnership (NRP) which is a dedicated service for anyone living in Northumberland, 18 years old and over, who are experiencing problems with substances.

There is a strong commitment to working in partnership with service users, carers, professionals, and providers, keeping the individual at the centre of the process throughout.

The team’s vision is to work alongside individuals to help keep them safe and well, leading upon and responding to any safeguarding concerns. Social workers aim to promote service users’ independence, empowering service users to do as much for themselves as possible, for as long as possible.

About You:

• You must be dynamic, committed to providing excellent services and bring a comprehensive knowledge and skill-base to mental health services.

• Registration with Social Work England and a practical knowledge of relevant service user group(s) is required.
