We would like to offer you an opportunity to complete your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) with us as part of this innovative and bespoke Academy which commences its second intake in March 2023.

Come and join us and we’ll provide an excellent framework of support.

Working full time, you will partake in a programme specifically selected to develop your skills, competencies and confidence. Throughout this, you will be supported by very experienced managers/ ASYE assessors to apply your social work values to a carefully selected caseload. ?

• We will help you develop your knowledge and skills within a nurturing environment, resulting in the development of you as a confident, caring social worker with a robust value base.
• We will help you develop your knowledge base of the various legislative frameworks concerning ASC, such as the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and Mental Health Act.
• You will be given reflective supervision on a regular basis in order to support your application of theory to practice.
• You will partake in training, group supervision and mentoring.

Depending on successful numbers, there may also be short term job opportunities within Northumberland ASC in non-social worker roles to bridge the gap between ending Uni and gaining your social work registration.

Northumberland County Council are extremely proud of our employees, who are passionate and committed to improving outcomes for our service users.
