As a Communications Assistant, you’ll join a talented, hard-working and award-winning team, and well-established corporate communications service to enhance our internal and external communications capacity.
No two days are the same – you could be organising an interview on location about wildfires with the BBC one day while presenting your ideas for a recruitment campaign the next.
You must be able to write, edit and proof copy, work to tight deadlines and work both as part of a team and on your own initiative. You must also be familiar with digital marketing including social media, using website content management systems and e-communications.
You will have good knowledge of local, regional and national media, experience of effectively monitoring and evaluating your work, ensuring communications channels and engagement activity are engaging and make a positive difference.
Who are we looking for?
You will have good skills and experience of writing and editing engaging copy for a wide range of external communications channels.
You must be able to write, edit and proof copy, work to tight deadlines and work both as part of a team and on your own initiative. You must also be familiar with digital marketing including social media, using website content management systems and e-communications.
The successful candidate will be required to produce effective communications and have knowledge of social marketing and modern methods of digital communication. The ability to record and edit video footage is desirable.

The position is permanent and full time (37 hours).
