Collingwood School & Media Arts College is a community special school that caters for pupils aged 2 to 19 with a wide range of special educational needs. The school offers a specialised learning environment to support the additional requirements of our pupils.
The Governors of the school are seeking a highly skilled and motivated general higher level teaching assistant who will work alongside out Sixth Form Team at the Fuse which is based primarily at Prudhoe.
The role requires skills and knowledge of working with children with substantial additional challenges.
You must be:
· Experienced in planning and delivering teaching and learning activities for classes
· Flexible, motivated, supportive and enthusiastic
· Have the skills and commitment to improve outcomes for all students in our school
· Able to work effectively within a team
· Able to relate to a wide range of abilities
· Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or above in a relevant discipline
· To have or be willing to undertake the HLTA qualification.
