Fixed Term Contract for 3 Years

The Digital and ICT Service are delivering exciting change to South Tyneside, and we have vacancies to support a new Service Design Programme. We are looking for motivated, passionate people to join our team as a Service Designer, Delivery Manager, Senior UX Designer, Business Analyst and Digital Officer.

We are in an exciting period of change, with the recent launch of the Our Council Change Programme and the South Tyneside Vision, Ambitions and Strategy. Our workforce supports around 155,000 residents across the Borough of South Tyneside and Digital and ICT is instrumental in supporting colleagues to work effectively and efficiently meeting the needs of our residents, businesses and partners.

As Senior UX Designer, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary Service Design project team, delivering high performing, accessible and easy to use digital services. You will embed principles of UX and user centred design within our digital services and assist back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting. You will also be a champion for Service Design throughout the Council, providing training and guidance where necessary. Your role with help Council teams and services to achieve their priorities through the creation of innovative digital solutions.
