South Tyneside Council are recruiting an enthusiastic Support Technician to join our Digital and ICT Service.
As part of our Service Delivery Team, you will be based between our South Shields and Jarrow Offices. You will be responsible for the provision, installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of the hardware and software used across the estate. As well as providing technical advice, information and guidance to staff.
This post is suited to both experienced Desktop Technicians and those looking to make a step up from first line support. The D&ICT Service is committed to providing our employees with opportunities for career progression.
You will be:

You will have:
• Good verbal and written communication skills;
• A professional and friendly disposition;
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10/11 and M365 products;
• Working knowledge of SCCM;
• A good understanding of PC hardware;
• Good diagnostic capabilities;
• A good approach to documentation;
• A full current driving licence or access to a means of mobility support.
A degree in an ICT subject or other ICT qualifications are desirable, but not essential.
