Tritlington Church of England First school is a small, rural school in a wonderful setting just north of Morpeth close to the A1.
We are seeking to appoint a conscientious and hardworking individual who holds HLTA status, who will also be required to work as a teaching assistant for some of the time. You will work as an HLTA for 5 hours and a teaching assistant for 8 hours each week. However, we will expect you to be flexible in this role. You will be part of the support staff team to assist teachers in facilitating teaching and learning activities. The successful candidate will be passionate about ensuring children reach their full potential and be the best they can be.
HLTA - Band 5, 5pw, term time only £2,781 - £3,047
TA - Band 3, 8hpw, term time only £3,924 - £3,996
Post available: to start 1st September or as soon as possible.
We are looking for an HLTA who:
- will put children first, have high expectations and a belief that all children can succeed
- has proven teaching skills across the first school age range from Nursery to Year 4 in mixed age classes
- is an outstanding and reflective practitioner
- excellent oral and written communication skills
- excellent numeracy/literacy skills
- has experience of working with children with SEND
- has a commitment to inclusion and can demonstrate this in practice
- is skilled at working with other staff, using their own initiative
- will maintain the Christian ethos of the school
