Longhoughton CE Primary School is a small, inclusive school in a desirable part of rural
Northumberland, at the heart of a village close to RAF Boulmer.

The Headteacher and Governors of this ‘Good’ school are seeking to appoint a
Teaching Assistant with EYFS experience to join our school working in a mixed Nursery
and Reception class.

The successful candidate will support the learning of the children through working with
the class teacher to establish a stimulating and engaging environment; delivering
teaching programmes to groups of children; and using high quality observations to
promote the progress of the children.

The role includes the delivery of a range of activities including speech and language,
phonics, reading, writing and mathematics work.

• Knowledgeable of early phonics and reading teaching
• Able to support colleagues and children

We are looking for someone who has:
• Excellent interpersonal and administration skills
• A suitable Teaching Assistant qualification, minimum Level 2
