We are seeking a highly motivated and visionary individual to lead our Youth Justice service. This specialist role is aligned to the England and Wales, youth justice system delivery established through the Crime and Disorder Act (1998) and sits within the Family help and Adolescent Services.
The post holder will require extensive knowledge of the youth justice system and service performance delivery and able to provide a leadership approach and culture that supports South Tyneside’s vision and values. Responsibilities include the operational delivery of statutory and non-statutory service requirements that are directed by the Ministry of Justice and youth justice boards. The post holder will ensure the service is child and family focused, managing welfare, safeguarding and risk to bring about reductions in youth offending, re-offending rates and custody. As part of the Family Help and Adolescent service the postholder will promote the best outcomes for children, young people and families through partnerships and collaborative working with a can-do approach.
We are keen to bring the very best manager to this position who will lead our youth justice service championing and delivering our bold ambitions for children, young people and families across our Family Help and Adolescent services.
